Tomato Chutney with Coriander
The perfect sauce to dip in and enjoy a snack!
How to prepare this Tomato Chutney
Wash the tomatoes and the coriander. Peel the ginger and cut it into very small pieces. Heat up a pot with water on the stove and bring the water to a boil. In the meantime you can pick off the biggest stems of coriander. When the water is boiling, gently let the tomatoes drop in. Let them boil for just one or two minutes until their skin bursts. Take them out and wash them quickly with cold water. Peel off the skin of the tomatoes as soon as they are cold enough for doing that.
Put the peeled tomatoes and the coriander into a blender and blend it together. Add the ginger and blend it again. Now you add the cumin powder. Should you not be able to buy that, you can take the seeds, fry them in a pan and then grind them to powder in a mortar. Add the black and white salt as well. Squeeze out the juice of one lemon and add this on top. Blend everything well.
And that’s it – enjoy!
