Ayurvedic Pumpkin Pie
An easy way to make Ayurvedic Pumpkin Pie Recipe
Peel the pumpkin and cut it into pieces before you steam it in a sieve over boiling water until it is fully soft to easily mash it. And of course that is the next thing that you need to do: mash it until there are no pieces anymore. Now mix the baking powder and the spices into the flour. The ghee or the butter have to be warmed until they are liquid. If you would like to intensify the taste of saffron in your cake you can already add the saffron into the ghee at this stage. When the ghee is liquid and the saffron already left some colour into it, you can mix the sugar powder into the ghee. To this you add the water and stir it. In the next step you add this mix to the flour. When this is nicely mixed you can also add the pumpkin mash and in the end mix the raisins into the dough. We have filled the dough into many small greased bowls and put them into our gas oven for about half an hour. So just take a try with your oven and test it after some time with the tip of a knife whether it is done or not. And when it is done, enjoy it, if possible still while it is warm, then it is best!
