Ingredients
500 g Beans
500 g Mushrooms
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Coriander
a pinch Mace
a pinch Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Turmeric
Salt according to taste
How to prepare Beans with Mushrooms
As usual, wash the vegetables well before cutting them into pieces. Heat the oil up in a deep pan or pot and when it is hot, add the spices in one by one. Stir to keep them from burning and let them get roasted well.
Once the spices are roasted, you can add the mushrooms and the beans. Add the salt on top, stir well and place the lid onto it. On medium heat, you can now let the vegetables get cooked for the next five minutes. Stir once or twice in between and after five minutes, take the lid off.
You will notice at this point that the mushrooms have released a lot of water which the vegetables are now cooking in. In order to dry this water, you now let the dish get cooked without a lid. Stir from time to time.
About fifteen minutes later, the water should have vaporized or cooked into the food and the vegetables should be soft. Once they are, switch the stove off. Your vegetable dish is ready!
Enjoy!
