Instructions
Start by washing the ginger and the turmeric thoroughly. We will use it without peeling and thus it should be properly clean. Place both pieces into a mortar and smash them with a pestle. Once they are cracked and nicely opened, you can put them into a pot together with the water. Now you need to add the nutmeg and, if you like, you can add pepper as well. Another option for the pepper is to add it at the complete end – that is up to you! 1: Boil the tea for five to seven minutes and then take it off the stove. Pour your tea through a tea strainer so that you have the beautifully-coloured tea without the pieces of spices. 2 : You are ready to drink your tea now as it is, you can add ground pepper on top or you can mix some honey into it, giving it a good taste and adding to its benefits, as the honey helps in throat pain and irritation. 3: Enjoy!
