Ingredients
500 g Cabbage
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 pinch Asafetida
1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
1 Lemon
1/2 tsp Black Salt
Salt according to taste
How to make Kachi Patta Gobhi
Wash the cabbage properly and, if necessary, take off the outer leaves so that you reach the fresh and strong leaves. Cut the cabbage in halves and then grate it on a fine grater so that you have small pieces.
Heat up the oil in a wok and once it is hot, add asafetida and mustard seeds. Stir so that the mustard seeds can develop their aroma. After half a minute add the cabbage into it and mix the cabbage well into the spices. Add salt and stir for another two minutes.
Now you can switch off the stove and squeeze out the lemon over it. Take the cabbage out of the pot into a bowl. Some people enjoy this dish warm but mostly it is eaten cold – together with bread or a regular meal.
Enjoy!
