Ingredients
500 g Potatoes
500 g Snap Beans
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 tsp Coriander Powder
½ tsp Turmeric
½ tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Mango Powder
Salt according to taste
How to make Potatoes with Beans
Start by washing the potatoes. Peel them and cut them in medium-sized pieces. Heat up the oil in a deep pan and when it is hot, add cumin, coriander and turmeric into it. Stir, so that the spices don’t burn and finally add the potatoes into the pan. Mix the potatoes well with the spices and cover the pan with a lid. Let the potatoes get cooked with closed lid on medium heat for the next five minutes.
In the meantime you can wash the beans, cut off the sides and cut them into pieces of two or three centimeters. When the potatoes have been in their pan for five minutes, you can add the beans and some salt. Stir well and cover the pan again with a lid. For the next twenty minutes you just need to stir from time to time.
After about twenty minutes you can check whether the beans and potatoes are soft. Once they are, you can add garam masala and mango powder to your dish. And there you are, a delicious potatoes and beans dish!
